Mansory refining program for the Rolls-Royce Dawn

The company Mansory from Brand in Bavaria has meanwhile made a name for itself in designing vehicles in the upscale model categories even more exclusively. In addition to the styling of noble accessories on the inside, there is also a more powerful increase in performance and a striking and exciting body design in the company's own program. One of the vehicle models that received this honor is the more recent cabriolet creation from the English car manufacturer Rolls Royce. The Rolls Royce convertible is the latest model that the English luxury brand launched on the market in autumn 2016. Both technically and stylistically, the “Dawn” convertible largely corresponds to the “Wraith” coupé. Both variants are based on the platform of the Ghost. But in contrast to the larger series of the Phantom, the two "smaller" model series are much more motorized. Both are powered by a twin-turbo V12 engine as standard. The displacement is 6.592 cm³. The two-door convertible offers space for four people. A noticeable specialty are the doors hinged at the rear, which are supposed to enable comfortable getting in and out. If this “off the shelf” Rolls Royce model, which costs more than 300.000 euros, is still too “ordinary”, you should contact the German company Mansory. In the hands of the Bavarian refiners, the standard Dawn not only gets a completely new look, but also a correspondingly modified aerodynamics. The front of the cabriolet is completely redesigned.

The front apron now has a significantly more dynamic face thanks to the larger air inlets and the integrated LED daylights. The sporty, modern look is underlined again by the use of carbon fiber. The front lip, the lightweight bonnet and the radiator housing show the typical fabric structure of carbon. But the rear and sides of the convertible are not neglected here either. The newly modeled side skirts make the vehicle look even lower and stretched. In order to be able to significantly reduce the lift forces to the rear axle, an elegant spoiler lip was mounted on the Dawn's original tailgate. The rear apron has also been remodeled accordingly. The new sporty design of the otherwise distinguished-looking Brit is also underlined again by the changed tires. So Mansory decided on the light 22 inch aluminum rims of the type "V6". The recommended tires come from Vredestein. The ultra-high-performance tires measure 265/35 22 "at the front and 295/30 22" at the rear. But something has also happened under the hood. The engineers at Mansory succeeded in wresting an increase in output from the standard engine to 740 hp (544 kW) at 5.500 rpm (the series is 570 hp / 420 kW).

The maximum torque increased by 220 Nm to a total of 1.000 Nm. As a result, the Dawn is able to cope with the sprint from zero to 100 km / h in 4,5 seconds. The maximum speed increased from 250 to 285 km / h. Depending on customer requirements, Mansory also designs the interior of the Dawn. The materials made of aluminum, carbon, burl wood or the highly polished piano lacquer make the cockpit look even more elegant. The seats and dashboard covered with fine leather as well as the precisely executed embroidery on the floor mats and headrests ensure a corresponding flair and sophisticated lifestyle. If we get more information about the modifications to the Rolls, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report.
