Hard to believe, but the current generation of the Nissan GT-R has been part of the tuning scene for well over 10 years. It was the year 2007 when the Japanese officially presented the successor to the Skyline GT-R (R34). Although there were various facelifts and editions from 2011, it hasn't really been new since then. And with the world premiere at that time, there were also the first Tuning parts for the R35. And that it is still an extremely sought-after automobile is shown by the tuning of countless tuning companies who do not even think about waiting for the R2023 successor announced for 36. The production of more and more tuning parts for the (still) current generation is in full swing and is even being expanded. And at the forefront is the Japanese team from The Tamarin Seed. They sell their very own version, in this case in the form of a 2011 Nissan GT-R based on the black edition, for 14.120.000 yen, which is around 109.100 euros. A proud price for a 10 year old vehicle. And that's exactly what we would like to introduce to you!
GT-R from tuner Top Secret
Top Secret is no stranger to the Japanese tuning scene. The vehicles of the legendary company sometimes culminate in a MK4 Supra, which in addition to extensive visual changes V12 got transplanted. Incidentally, this made a top speed of 220 mph (approx. 354 km/h) possible. The GT-R, which we would like to show you today, is a little more subtle.
While the vehicle looks like the facelifted 2017 GT-R from the outside, it's actually based on a 2011 "Black Edition" model, as mentioned earlier. You can see that at the latest in the cabin. But before we get into that, let's first look at the external modifications on. The vehicle is in Millennium jade painted and got an all round one Carbon fiber body kit. The kit consists of a large front splitter, from new Fenders with gills, bilateral essays for the front apron including flaps side skirts and a new one rear apron with a more aggressive diffuser.
OZ rims and titanium exhaust system
The body kit is joined by a new one bonnet with air vents and quick release and the visual highlight is the huge one Carbon fiber rear wing. Like many parts of the body kit, the wing is also completely built in visible carbon. Ultra-light ones rotate in the wheel arches OZ 35 GT-R SF Top Secret rims, which are specially made for the Japanese as a cooperation between the tuner and OZ. And a powerful one is also installed Titanium sports exhaust system with blue-burnt tailpipes, which are fitted on both sides in the aforementioned diffuser. And there was also in inner space the GT-R Black Edition a few changes. Roughly in the form of various Carbon interior trim, there was to half bucket seats from Bride's Edirb series and a new one can also be seen Steering wheel with blue stitching to match the seats.
And then there's the Motor. It was on almost 600 PS tuned, but Top Secret has not yet revealed the exact key data or the built-in tuning components. But we're guessing Chiptuning, the mentioned Exhaust System and maybe a few more changes to the aspiration. Incidentally, the tuner also stated that the chassis only slightly modified was made in order to maintain the suitability for everyday use of the GT-R. Incidentally, in the standard trim, the GT-R Black Edition delivers 530 hp and 607 NM torque, with the power being sent to all four wheels via a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
