If you follow tuningblog.eu carefully you can certainly still send it to the Widebody Nissan GT-R remember from a year ago. Of course, the vehicle was extremely modified all around, but especially the elaborate, overpainted, metallic 3D surface was the absolute highlight on the GT-R. And it is precisely with this design that the Japanese tuner is equipping the seventh generation of the Nissan Patrol (type Y62). However, the entire body is not provided with the eye-catching 3D look, but the luxurious Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) receives a specially made twelve-part body kit. And all parts of the body kit have the eye-catching 3D embossing. So far we don't have any exact information, but we assume that the accessories will also be available with a simple plastic look, because certainly not everyone likes such an eye-catching look. However, the current vehicle should be based on the upcoming one Tokyo Auto Salon and of course it needs something special to get enough attention.
The body kit consists of a new radiator grille whose interior is made of matt black plastic and is conspicuously edged in silver / chrome, and there is now a discreet front spoiler on the bumper. The side section of the Patrol has also been changed and so the attachments for the doors are new and additional side skirts have been installed below the step rails. And there have also been a few changes at the rear, for example the SUV is getting a new handle bar on the boot lid, a loading sill protection and a rear apron approach which, like all accessories, has a striking 3D metal look. We have no information about the beefy wheelset, which underlines the individual appearance with its 8-spoke design and the coarse off-road tires. We hope that we will receive all information by next weekend at the latest because from 13.1. The exhibition halls in Tokyo are open until 15.1 and the vehicle is officially presented. If we get the missing information, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report. These are the changes to the Nissan Patrol:
- 12 body kit with 3D metal embossing (matt black grille, front spoiler for the standard front bumper, side skirts, rear apron extension, attachments / bumpers for the doors, handle bar for the tailgate, sill protection)
- two-tone alloy wheels with 8 spoke design and rough off-road tires
- possibly a performance increase - (chip tuning, tuning box, compressor or turbo conversion, NOS etc. - more information is not available)
- possibly a sports exhaust system (more information is not available)
