Undoubtedly, the late 50s, and particularly the 60s, was an era of American auto design. During this time, exciting vehicles hit the road, including the Chevrolet Biscayne. A car that was priced at the lower end of the spectrum, but has become an absolute collector's favorite over the years. The Biscayne was specially developed for the fleet market and was also intended for police authorities. That is why it did not have any unnecessary and fancy decorations like other vehicles of that time. That made it simple but also cheap back then. And nowadays the Biscayne provides a great platform for tuning and restoration of all kinds. This vehicle is a specimen from 1962 and therefore one of the second generation. The car is part of the many vehicles that will be auctioned off this week in Dallas by the Mecum auction house.

Painted in green and black, the fully restored Biscayne is heavily lowered by means of RideTech air suspension and houses an LS3 V8 engine under the bonnet with unspecified power and only 600 miles (approx. 966 km) on the clock. The engine is coupled to a 4L60E automatic and the load is braked using a sports brake system from Baer. And for such a lavishly restored vehicle, a completely redesigned cabin is almost a given. Here, too, the color scheme green and black dominates and so the minimalist cockpit looks tidy, with four seats, a new air conditioning system and a JL Bluetooth audio system. If we get more information about the changes to the 1962 Chevrolet Biscayne with LS3 V8 engine, there is of course an update for this report.
