A Plymouth Cuda in green overalls is not necessarily uncommon. Even then, the vehicles were delivered in a variety of shades of green. And this customer-specific tuning project also uses a green paintwork all around. Not in an ordinary shade of green, however, as was the case back then, but in Snakeskin green (Snake skin green) that looks pretty spectacular on the classic. The color is originally from the Dodge Viper and also looked on - unfortunately no longer existing - American athletes look spectacular. On the 50-year-old Cuda, however, it is an absolute hit as we think.
1970s Plymouth Cuda as Restomod
Incidentally, the basis for the conversion was a 1970 Plymouth Cuda (built from 1964 - 1974), which was delivered at the time with a 5,0-liter V8 (340 ci), 4-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. And basically no changes have occurred with regard to these properties. However, both the engine and the transmission have been extensively revised. Like the rest of the vehicle, the drivetrain and gearshift were restored and repaired and there are a number of other components. Even a rally instrument cluster is installed in the new interior. In addition, the Restomod-Cuda has received Hotchkis chassis components and a state-of-the-art Baer brake system now ensures deceleration in keeping with its standing.

The new hardware is hidden under a carefully cleaned body (no add-on parts such as protective strips etc.), whose viper green is only interrupted with a few black accents such as the spoiler lip on the tailgate, the bonnet with quick-release fasteners or the radiator grille. If you open the hood, the orange painted and already mentioned engine emerges, the attachments of which are almost completely new. The cabin of the classic is also covered with black leather everywhere and impresses with a sporty steering wheel and chic Cuda lettering. If we get more information about the changes to the 1970 Plymouth Cuda as Restomod conversion, there is of course an update for this report.
