Who hasn't always wanted to own a wheeled, street legal private jet? But who of you actually knew that there was such a thing? At least we don't! But at the next Mecum auction in May, this 42-foot (approx. 13 m) long and 8-foot (approx. 2,44 m) piece of jewelery in Dark Candy Red is hoping for a new owner. The jet is now actually a "moving" private jet that is moved with the help of a truck engine. And actually the part is really awesome if it weren't so hammered. Why do you turn a private jet into a car? We do not know it! But there are people who have a vision and have to put it into practice. And one of them was Dan Harris from Bend, Oregon. With the help of the tuner Exotic Coach, the elaborate "Limo-Jet" was created in 2006 as a prototype with 28-inch Diablo rims and 325/25 Kumho tires.

Up until the time of the conversion, the “Flitzer” was a completely normal Learjet with a length of 12,8 meters, a width of 2,44 meters and - now a folding rear wing - that had always been designed for the greatest possible luxury. But since 2006 there have been speakers at the place where the jet engines used to be installed, which only imitate the noises of real jet engines and due to the lack of wings, flying is now done with. In total, Harris and Exotic Coach invested around 40.000 hours in turning the airplane into a giant vehicle for the road. The fuselage has been connected to a steel skeleton, the 8,1-liter Chevrolet Vortec V8 truck engine with 406 hp (patented engine mount) and of course the rear wheels are driven.

The monster uses a hydraulic brake system to brake. And the craziest thing is the fact that, according to the builder, the jet is "one hundred percent street legal". Regardless of whether it is the digital license plate holder, the LED taillights and main headlights or the completely darkened windows, somehow the part is actually allowed on the road! Besides England, this is only possible in the USA. The real highlight, at least in our opinion, is the inner workings. There is tons of leather in black and red, a 42-inch plasma TV, countless light panels and small spots and so many loudspeakers that in the end the system produces a total of 17.000 watts.
18 passengers find space in the inner
This means that the up to 18 passengers can receive sound appropriately at the "Flight over the street". And the driver - or let's call him a pilot? He sits in a bucket seat with harness belts, grabs a chic carbon steering wheel and activates the monster appropriately with overhead switches and can see via 4 monitors what is happening around the limo jet. However, there is no space for a passenger! Mecum Auctions plans to auction the part in May at an event in Indianapolis. It remains to be seen whether it is only possible online because of the Corona location. PS.
