In addition to the dreamlike BMW M3 (E30) restomod with V10 M5 engine as "Project 3" we want you from the Miami-based tuner Renner project also briefly introduce another vehicle. And that's not all. Even more Restomod conversions in small series are planned for the future. Currently (as of 11.2022) they are working on the BMW project 5 based on the E28, with the project 5T based on the E34 M5 Touring and the prototype project 8 based on the 8-series BMW of the E31 series was completed about three years ago.

A maximum of 8 vehicles are to be created from Project 10 and unfortunately we do not know how many of them have already been created. Specifically, the base vehicle in this case is an 850Ci from 1991, but a CSi or an 840 can also be used. And of course the prototype also got a new motor. In this case, however, the V10 was not installed as in Project 3, instead the S65-V8 from the M3 of the E90/E92 generation is on board.
there are several engines to choose from
While the E31 chassis of the 8 Series remains visually almost unchanged, the E31 as Project 8 is powered by the V8 from the M3. And it can also be significantly modified and increased in performance if desired. As far as we know, it is still standard in the prototype with 420 hp. The engine is coupled to the original six-speed manual transmission of the M3 and anyone who wants to can have the E39 M5 engine or the powerful M5 V10 from the E60/E63 installed by Renner at any time.
- Brake system: VA E60 M5 brake / RA E92M3 brake, interior with full leather interior with nappa leather in yellow including dashboard, Alcantra headliner in yellow, seat belts and carpets in dark green, etc.
Each made-to-order vehicle is completely disassembled, restauriert and then rebuilt with the desired options. There is always an improved power steering, a modern braking system and a sports chassis adapted to the current time and the additional power. Incidentally, the subtly modified prototype is in one sentence HRE Vintage 501 forged wheels and is also lowered by a few millimeters.

The brand new paintwork is an original BMW Regal color and the cabin is also completely renewed with a beautiful light leather interior. Almost all details and new components are specified by the customer and there is hardly a change that cannot be implemented. And that also applies to the other projects that, as far as we know, are already in the works, but for which there are no official pictures or videos yet.
This is the Renner Projekt 5 based on an E28 M5, which, like Project 8, can be equipped with S62, S65 and S85 if desired. And then there is the Renner project 5T (Touring), which uses the E34 M5 Touring as a basis and can also receive the two V8 engines and the V10. All vehicles are strictly limited and equipped with every imaginable modern convenience. We are excited! If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
