This is the latest project from the Legacy Overland team. It is a fully restored and modified first generation 1975-door Range Rover from 6,2. As far as we know the vehicle has undergone a number of upgrades over the past three years and has since been replaced by a 3 liter GM LS8 -VXNUMX Crate engine driven. Acoustically, this speaks out by means of a specially made exhaust system in series optics. The engine is mated to a GM 6L80 six-speed automatic transmission combined with the OEM Land Rover LT230 transfer case, which has been heavily rebuilt. The load is now slowed down by a set of performance disc brakes with steel braided brake lines and a large aluminum radiator and special cooling for the power steering keeps the rest in check. However, you can hardly see the changes visually.
Restomod with LS3 power
There was a complete 'frame-off' restoration and since then the body has been painted in Beluga Black from the Land Rover shelf. But otherwise there's little to suggest the Land Rover is no longer stock. However, those who are familiar will discover the xenon headlights and the restyle rims with the individual center caps. The optically really noticeable changes can be found inside. The Range Rover Classic received a completely new equipment from Legacy Overland and the high-pile carpets and the handcrafted headliner convey a particularly "homely flair". The seats continue to have a retro design, but are covered with saffron velor and palomino. The latter extends into various storage compartments and also over the door panels. Tech-wise, there was an Alpine sound system for the interior, which has amenities like Bluetooth, Android control, Spotify streaming, and a USB port. And Alpine is also the brand of choice for the speakers and the built-in amplifier.
including modern air conditioning
And in addition to the new surfaces, a rebuilt speedometer with additional gauges and a fully restored dashboard, the decision was even made to install a modern air conditioning system. The result is a vehicle that is by no means extremely modified and fortunately not a newfangled one either Electric mod became. Discreet and stylish was the motto!
