Kirt & Jen have the dream of their own Caravan Fulfills. You even sold your home and farm in Tennessee for it. With two young children, their home is now a mighty Ram Truck. Specifically, it's a self-built one Ram 5500 Overlander Motorhome with the name "Macho“. With the XXL camper, an alternative lifestyle is possible for the family that you have always wanted. The Ram RV was only assembled in March 2022 and it took about two months to complete the one-off. The pickup itself cost about $65.000 and the Rear superstructure about $15.000. It was really expensive then modification.
Ram 5500 off-roader
It cost easily 50.000 US dollars, which brought the total to about 130.000 US dollars. However, for an off-road motorhome that can go practically anywhere, that's not necessarily expensive. The Ram Macho got countless adjustments like a special Tailgate, which can be converted to a flat area with grass and awning, effectively making it an extended part of the living space. In addition to the generous Living space the off-roader transports an 81 gallon Fresh water tank and the fuel capacity is 74 gallons Diesel.
A large solar system is integrated
The Tubes can carry a payload of up to 6.400 pounds (approx. 3 t) and a 1.850 watt strong one is also installed solar system, in order to be able to live completely self-sufficient in about two weeks.
