Can a camper or mobile home be used as a work vehicle? In the case of the Silver Spear – JA! According to the manufacturer, it is the first modular overland vehicle of its kind that can serve several purposes at the same time. The mighty off-roader was made by Toro Bravo 4×4 designed and built and is a real all-rounder. Toro Bravo 4×4 worked with PROTOTYP3 to develop the all-in-one vehicle and the goal was to create an affordable multi-purpose off-road vehicle that would serve a variety of functions. The vehicle can be used as a rolling workshop during the week and as a camper at the weekend. The Silver Spear is built on a robust pickup chassis, has factory four-wheel drive and runs on rims with 40 inch (approx. 1 m) off-road tires.

New crew cab chassis from the Ford F-550, Chevrolet 5500 and Ram 5500 will be used for construction. The Silver Spear's innovative modular design, which enables unique versatility, was achieved through the use of 3D-printed interior components such as removable beds, bespoke closets and a removable kitchen worktop. This also means there is scope for customization as customers can add or remove various components to tailor the truck to their needs.
As a work pickup, the Silver Spear has shelves mounted inside the side panels to hold power tools and other equipment. If required, additional workstations can be attached to four outer mounting rails. The Silver Spear is approx. 8 meters long and approx. 6 meters are available in the cabin of the camping structure. This means that you can also transport long wooden boards or other building materials that can be attached with the integrated floor rails. The cantilevered rear ramp combined with the large tailgate makes loading and unloading child's play. The Silver Spear comes with a queen alcove bed and two fold out bunk beds, providing sleeping space for the whole family. There is also a modular galley kitchen with custom cabinetry and built in sink, there is a wet bathroom with composting toilet and plenty of storage space.
the kitchen can even be expanded
Other amenities include a 25-gallon portable refrigerator/freezer, two-burner propane stove, 227-gallon fresh water tank, 113-gallon gray water tank and five rooftop solar panels. Thanks to the modular design, the kitchen can be rolled out of the vehicle for outdoor cooking or even removed completely. And on the side there is an extendable awning, an extendable staircase and the already mentioned mounting rails, to which modular tables for outdoor use can be attached. A 12V air conditioning system, a large skylight, storage space above the driver's cab and a full-length transmission tunnel are also part of the package. Toro Bravo 4×4 is already taking pre-orders for the Silver Spear and prices start at $236.000. "Affordable" is of course different...
Of course, that wasn't the end of it!
