This Volvo is an 850 R model and a prime example of a sleeper. The classic from the 90s is a heavily modified copy created by the YouTuber AutoTopNL is chased over the German autobahn. According to the video, the Swede has a 2,3-liter turbocharged five-cylinder under the hood, which delivers around 487 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The power is also underpinned by an appealing soundscape, especially in the range of 7.000 rpm. In the video it can be seen that the power is enough to move the speedometer needle well past the end of the gauge. Incidentally, the R model was the most powerful version from Volvo at the time, with up to 250 hp and 350 Nm. There was also a station wagon version of the 850. Enjoy the video!
