Here comes the ultimate emergency vehicle from Darth Vader! The Vantablack-VBx2 BMW X6 of the current generation G06 with surname VBX6. Anyone looking for an upgrade to the darkest black of all time is likely to be using this nanostructured coating from the inventor Ben Jensen to find something. It reflects almost no daylight which ensures that the three-dimensional corners and edges of the X6 can only be seen with great difficulty. And it would be even more possible. The Vantablack VBx2 comes with a hemispherical reflection of one percent and is therefore not as black as pure Vantablack which absorbs 99,965 percent of the incident light. So you can at least recognize some details of the SUV. And as a highlight, the X6 even carries the glowing "Iconic Glow" kidneys, But also the typical BMW twin headlights and the filigree tail lights are particularly staged with Vantablack VBx2.

Incidentally, the Vantablack (stands for "Vertically Aligned Nano Tube Array") can be sprayed on and is especially useful for the future of autonomous driving. The paint consists of vertically arranged carbon nanotubes which are approximately 14 to 50 microns long and have a diameter of 20 nanometers. Meaning they are around 5.000 times thinner than a human hair. Well, a billion nanotubes fit on just one square centimeter. Who sees the X6 with the Ventablack coating, does not trust his eyes at first. The SUV looks two-dimensional on the second, third or fourth look. Incidentally, the X6 is on display at the IAA 2019 (Thu., 12, Sept. 2019 - Sun., 22, Sept. 2019). If we get more information soon there is of course an update for this report. Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
