The 7er is still alive - Varis Bodykit for the VW Golf R (MK7)

Everything is waiting for the eighth generation of the VW Golf. Especially with regard to the top models GTI or R, the rumor mill is bubbling up. Would infotainment (Infotainment kit - MIB) do not currently cause problems, the presentation of the MK8 at the IAA 2019 would be safe. So the idea but delayed to next year. Enough time for new speculation especially on the subject Golf 8 R. Does it really come with a widened body and specially developed 400 PS & 450 NM 3-liter biturbo VR6? Audi in any case refuses to move the 5 cylinder of the RS3 out so that VW has to do it itself for better or worse. One can be curious! However, all the discussions also mean that the MK7, whether as a GTI, R, GTD, etc., is hardly ever talked about anymore.

But now comes the Japanese team of Varis and brings for the MK7R an aerodynamic package at the start that lets forget the discussions about the successor abruptly. The components are designed specifically for the Golf R, but are likely to fit to any other 7er to a large extent. In any case, the visual highlight at the front is the new engine hood with central air opening, which provides improved cooling of the engine. In addition, there is a striking front spoiler and the double Canards right and left are from Varis. The side view is highlighted with optional sills and clearly changed the rear of the Wolfsburg. Here you install a large roof spoiler of the rear window concealed on both sides, plus there is also an additional spoiler lip. The most striking component behind is the large rear diffuser. Like all parts of the body kit it shows itself in the noble Sichtcarbon and is the perfect condition for a sport exhaust system.

And this has received the black exhibition vehicle Armytrix. Varis built the stainless steel system in series optics with black tailpipes and also on a new wheelset and a lowering one has not waived. To meet the athletic demands Volk Racing TE37-SAGA Alus Diamond Dark Gunmetal on Bridgestone RE-71R tires that fit perfectly to the R. By the way, Varis achieves the lowering with a KW suspensions coilover suspension, which is perfectly adjusted to the MK7R thanks to its individual adjustment options. And even in the interior you have a little bit of fun. Here we installed sporty Recaro bucket seats which are not only lighter than the series but also offer a significantly improved lateral support. If we receive more information, pictures or maybe even a video in a timely manner, there is of course an update for this report.
