There memories are awake! Already in the year 1988 VW brought the Corrado (Type 53i) on the market. I can still remember when I got my driver's license in 1998, which almost everyone was looking for the Wolfsburg sports coupé. You were of course the absolute hero when you made it to the 2.8 VR6 with a 174 hp AAA 6-cylinder VR engine, which two of my friends had done. Actually, this variant was intended exclusively for export by VW, so that I still don't really understand how it all came about and, above all, how it was allowed to be driven !? Regardless, the 2.9l VR6 ABV known from the Golf III with its 190 PS & 245 Newton meters of torque was even more popular. If you got hold of a Corrado, tuning was of course an absolute must. And hardly a rim was more popular than that Borbet A which was already screwed to VW Golf II or various Opel models, and somehow everyone wanted to have. Both the Corrado, as well as the Borbet A rim, are therefore in my opinion absolute classics and just such a combination has made it into modern times.
EAH-Customs from Heilbad Heiligenstadt (Thuringia) had a well-preserved red VW Corrado on site and was allowed to give it a set of silver-painted Borbet A alloy wheels in 7,5 × 16 inches. Of course, the aluminum rims also include lowering and so they were installed right away St suspension sports suspension that ensures the right chassis set-up. In addition, the Corrado got a cavity seal and an underbody wax treatment, after all, the whole thing should remain as neat and intact as it is. A really nice car that will surely bring back many memories. If we get more information about the modifications to the red Corrado, there is of course, as always, an update for this report. The best thing is to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will be informed immediately. We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures.
