KTM is always good for a surprise: For the latest KTM Limited Edition, the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R has been transformed into an even sharper BEAST. The limited version of KTM's flagship is more snappy than ever and therefore bears the designation "RR". As a result, it is now taking the lead in KTM's Street series and has been developed around KTM's core brand value "pure performance".

Only 1290 of the exclusive KTM 500 SUPER DUKE RR will be built and pre-orders are only accepted online. The "RR" is based on the latest KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R PROTOTYPE and is the epitome of READY TO RACE.

The numbers speak for themselves: 1.301 cm3, 180 hp, 180 kg and 140 Nm. That means a power-to-weight ratio of 1 kg per hp and immense torque. One thing is clear: racetracks are the preferred hunting ground for this BEAST. This uncompromising hyper-naked bike was built to break lap records.

The RR is not only 9 kg lighter, but also more agile, stiffer and more stable at high speeds than the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R. Even the rims came under the knife and lost 1,5 kg. These are equipped with ultra-grippy Michelin Power Cup2 tires and thus underpin the suitability of the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR for the race track.

The high-quality chassis components from WP are responsible for the biggest changes. At the front, the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR uses a fully adjustable closed-cartridge fork of the type WP APEX PRO 7548 and an also adjustable steering damper of the type WP APEX PRO 7117. At the rear, an APEX PRO 7746 shock absorber takes care of the specifications the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR has been adapted to the suspension and damping.

A lot of carbon fiber was used in the development of the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR - the rear frame, for example, was redesigned in which the ultra-light material played an important role. The designers were able to reinterpret the rear of the BEAST and create a unique rear unit with a single bench seat in which the LED taillight is integrated into the LED turn signals. The bike also comes with KTM's adaptive brake light as standard.

All of this - and not least the fact that it is powered by the largest Euro 5-compatible V2 of all Hyper-Nakeds - makes the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR the ultimate BEAST on the country road and on the racetrack.

This BEAST also has a lightweight "SLIP-ON LINE" rear silencer from AKRAPOVIČ. This is made of titanium and comes with a carbon fiber end cap to underline the aggressiveness of the BEAST with an adequate soundscape. As an optional extra for those who want even more power, a complete system of the AKRAPOVIČ-KIT “EVOLUTION LINE” is available.
