The 2024 model year starts with drums and trumpets for KTM: The company is introducing its brand new DUKE series of 1-cylinder motorcycles. The innovations promise more power, improved handling and clear distinguishing features depending on the displacement. In short: more bike for the money. The changes to the DUKE line-up for 2024 are the most extensive in the brand's history, particularly in the sub-500cc displacement segment. Since the introduction of KTM 125 DUKE in 2011 there was no such radical renewal. The result? A completely new one motorcycle generation, starting with the Engines about the Suspension to Design.
KTM 1-cylinder Duke line-up
A special highlight is the new one two-piece frame design. The completely new main frame made of steel trellis tubes in combination with a Die-cast aluminum rear frame not only brings benefits in terms of torsional rigidity, it also improves the agility of the bike and the feedback the rider gets from the chassis. New triple clamps and a revised one Offset also help make the machine more manageable and give the rider more stability and control.
The suspension has also been revised. The frame is now with a completely new, curved wing connected, which is optimally positioned around the newly positioned rear strut lays. The innovative design allows the installation of a larger Air filter box and at the same time reduces the seat height. This makes the machine more accessible without sacrificing handling or stability.
new generation of 1-cylinder engines
Under the hood, or rather inside engine compartment, a lot is also happening: the completely new generation of 1-cylinder engines enthusiastic. The so-called LC4c series includes both a 125 cc and a 399 cc engine used in the KTM 390 DUKE is used. Both have been redesigned from scratch and correspond to the current ones EURO 5.2 standard. But KTM wouldn't be KTM if you just focused on the engine and chassis. Also with them technological features the company is going strong.
All models in the new DUKE range come standard with the latest Supermoto ABS, One 5 inch instrument cluster and Smartphone connectivity fitted. And if you want even more, the machine can be equipped with the optional Quickshifter + gear up. And visually KTM also sets accents. Each model of the DUKE range 2024 has its own character and is clearly different from the others. This is where the new one plays metal tank an equally important role as the high-quality surfaces and colors.
The KTM 390 DUKE 2024 and the KTM 125 DUKE 2024 are the flagships of the new series. The former scores with a powerful 399 cm³ engine and color options such as "Electronic Orange" and "atlantic blue". The KTM 125 DUKE on the other hand, is the entry-level model of the series, but by no means less impressive. In summary: The 2024 line-up of the KTM DUKE series sets new standards in the field of 1-cylinder motorcycles.
