SEAT MÓ celebrates its one year anniversary and saves tons of CO2!

The success story continues: SEAT MÓ is celebrating its one-year anniversary with an expansion of its range of services. After the successful eScooter sharing in Barcelona, modern, emission-free micromobility solutions are now also being offered for a wide variety of local companies. SEAT is providing numerous, 100 percent electric vehicles that can be used by the workforce of the cooperation partners. Thanks to new partners, customers of the brand can now also use a taxi service directly via the SEAT MÓ Motosharing app. This means that SEAT MÓ continues to develop into a holistic micromobility ecosystem.

Success story: one year of MÓ Motosharing App

In the past twelve months, SEAT MÓ has strengthened its sharing service with a fleet of 732 e-scooters in Barcelona and the adjacent second largest Catalan city, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. In combination with more than 100.000 downloads of the SEAT MÓ Motosharing app developed by SEAT: CODE, the company is one of the leading sharing providers for e-scooters in the metropolitan region. During this time, around 60 tons of CO were generated in urban areas with SEAT MÓ Sharing compared to using a private car2 saved and noise pollution reduced by around 4,5 million decibels. But SEAT MÓ Sharing users also benefit from time savings of around 10 minutes per journey when moving through the city, and thus an average of around 30 minutes per day.

SEAT MÓ: an eye on new markets

The SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 was recently launched in Spain, France, Italy, Germany and the UK. The market launch in Mexico is imminent. In addition, production represents SEAT MÓ's commitment to developing the local industry by strengthening local technological and industrial know-how.

The starting shot for SEAT MÓ in Germany was May 18, 2021. Both the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 and the SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65 are available from more and more official dealerships. According to Erik Händler, head of the dealer organization at SEAT Deutschland GmbH, “The expansion of the SEAT MÓ sales network in Germany is an important part of our strategy to use contemporary urban mobility concepts to create cleaner, quieter and thus more livable cities. In this way, above all, we meet the requirements and ideas of the youngest group of buyers - and introduce them to our brands and the underlying overall concept of more sustainable and intelligent mobility of tomorrow at an early stage ”.

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
