ML Concept - Mercedes-Benz C63s AMG on 20 inch AF-303 Alu's

Reading time 3 Min.

What first thought comes to mind when you dive into the subject of tuning? For the masses, including myself, are the sporty sound-strong exhaust, lowered chassis and of course a significantly increased performance (Chiptuning etc.) high on the priority list. Tuning also means that the vehicle should be given a highly personal touch. The viewing angle is just as individual for each individual vehicle owner. Statistics are mostly secondary, but not to be underestimated. After all, we are talking about 60% of all tuning enthusiasts who initially treated their vehicle to a new wheel set and only later dealt with further measures such as chip tuning etc. In comparison, the dimensions of the replaced rims are at least 1 inch above the sizes of the original factory rims. The often extremely price-intensive investment hardly leaves any deterrent marks because it actually pays off in retrospect and the design of the car is then presented in a remarkably new luster. The decisive factor for the highly frequented exchange of wheel sets is likely to be, among other things, the suitability for the masses of the standard rims, which are often presentable. However, the manufacturer orients itself more towards the large target groups and less towards the individualists. On top of that, the rim selection is made using the manufacturer configurator and that was of course also the case with this Mercedes-Benz C63s AMG of the current type W205.

If you put your vehicle together using a configurator, there is ultimately hardly any space for a distinctive uniqueness. However, there is still a possibility to swim against the current and to be able to detach yourself from the general public. The plan B of the owner of the C63 AMG includes a view of the Artform Wheels range. Thanks to the perfect combination, the piece of jewelery is now presented even better with a dark gray Artform Wheels AF-303 wheel set in stately 20 inches. The additional modifications recognizable in the pictures make the production model an impressive eye-catcher. Of course, the C63 also owes the newly gained dynamics and the even sportier driving experience to the AF-303 wheelset. No wonder, because the rims from Artform Wheels are not only known in tuner circles for their first-class quality and, above all, for an exquisite range of products. With these respectable alternatives, the standard wheelsets are quickly overshadowed by the new rims. Further information on tuning measures carried out on the W205 AMG can only be found in the photos and what the tuner has published.

What we have learned from the tuner ML Concept and have recognized ourselves, we provide you as usual in a summary below. If you notice any further changes, we would be happy if you post them in the comment box.

  1. Hi,

I have an amg C63 W205 and would like to put the Artform AF302 rims on it.
The tire dealer said that according to the expert opinion, massive conversion measures might be necessary.

The wheels would have the following dimensions:
    VA 8,5 x 20 ET30 with 245 / 30
    HA 9,5 x 20 ET45 with 265 / 30

I currently have the following factory bikes on it:
    VA 8,5 x 19 ET38 with 245 / 35
    HA 9,5 x 19 ET56 with 265 / 35

How were your experiences during the conversion?
Did you have to fold edges or flare the wheel arch?

    Thank you for your support!
    Greetings Ben
