OPEL ASTRA TCR - New car for new racing series!

news from the manufacturer Opel, the latest creation that Opel presents to us is the OPEL ASTRA TCR (at least for the time being virtual) which should bring the successes for the Rüsselsheimer in the new TOURENWAGEN TCR-RENNSERIE. After Volkswagen launched the VW Golf R racing car (concept) with 330PS we are already looking forward to the first real pictures of the counterpart from Opel. We know some technical data about the Opel Astra TCR. What we have learned we have listed below for you in a small summary.

These are the data we know about the Opel Astra TCR and some information about the TCR racing series:

  • the Opel Astra TCR is a touring car based on the TCR series regulations
  • The basis is the new Opel Astra, which will celebrate its world premiere at the 2015 IAA

  • A TCR racing vehicle can be used anywhere in the world without technical modifications
  • each car has a two-liter turbo engine with 330 hp and a maximum torque of 410 Newton meters
