At the A3 near Montabaur, officials were alerted to an illegal car race with luxury cars from Audi, Porsche, BMW and Ferrari. The "Pure Rally 2018 Oktoberfest" with an "entry fee" of 450 €! It began on September 21, 2018 in London and led via Amsterdam directly to Frankfurt to the Oktoberfest there. The price includes luxury hotels and “glamor girls”. The rally leads through several EU countries and also via the A3. On the way from the Netherlands to Frankfurt, around 15 vehicles with “Pure-Rally” stickers were on the road.
Due to the aggressive driving style with speeds above 200 km / h several witnesses on Saturday against 15: 30 clock the police had alerted. With further officials from Wiesbaden the motorway police Montabaur could stop the participants and because of the suspicion of the Participation in an illegal street racing filed several criminal charges. However, the police did not prevent any of the participants from continuing their journey. The police station is currently still looking for witnesses who may even have been endangered. You couldn't see any of the vehicles in Frankfurt last weekend.
