Last week GMC has the Third generation 2023 Canyon presented, which of course we have to show you. It scores with an unmistakable look, exclusive equipment and especially with a special one off-road model. The Canyon presents itself as a counterpart to the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro or the Ford Ranger Raptor AT4X with similar upgrades to the Colorado ZR2. He also wears 17 inch rims with 33 inch (0,84 m) off-road tires, there is a standard lift with Multimatic DSSV dampers, electronic locks front and rear and a Baja driving mode. Building on this package, GMC also sells the AT4X edition 1, which will only be available for the first model year. It is the first Canyon AT4X option in the lineup. Building on the success of the AT4, the AT4X sub-brand (first introduced on the 2022 Sierra) is the ultimate off-road opportunity, according to GMC.
2023 GMC Canyon with AT4X upgrades
One is installed at the front of the model 9.500-pound ComeUp winch with Safari hanger in a new one Off-road bumper, there are Underrun protection plates front and rear and also a 30 inch (0,76 m) LED light strip is in. There are also 17 inches Beadlock wheels and underbody cameras front and rear as part of a 10-cam camera system. The ground clearance is 10,7 inches (approx. 27 cm) and the departure angle is 36,9 degrees. Every 2023 Canyon is powered by the Chevy Colorado engine. That is a 2,7-liter four-cylinder with turbocharger. But there is not much information yet. However, the AT4X should have a "high-performance" engine with up to 583 NM torque.
