Transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary in the compact sports car segment – that is Abarth's mission. The brand has always stood for Italian performance and style. Just weeks before its 73rd birthday, the Scorpio strikes again with the launch of its new 595 series. It pays homage to the inventive spirit of founder Carlo Abarth (1908-1979): always part of Abarth's DNA, it was again the basic concept of upgrading that guided the work of designers, engineers and technicians. This is how a series of timeless icons was created for the 2022 model year.

The Abarth 595 with 121 kW (165 hp) and the Abarth 695 with 132 kW (180 hp) are now available in two body variants. They have special features to convey emotions both to customers who value style more and to those for whom sportiness is a "must have". Both versions offer exciting performance, a roaring exhaust, playful yet bold style - and of course maximum driving pleasure. Starting from these "basics" and the upgrade packs, developed in the best Abarth tradition, customers can compose the vehicle that best suits their tastes and needs. This is reminiscent of the legendary Scorpion tuning kits that turned production vehicles into unbeatable racing cars in the 1960s. Each of the four "Upgrade Packages" enables an individual driving experience while maintaining the double soul of the brand.

Update: Abarth 595 & 695 model series 2022!

The Abarth 595 can be specified with both the '595 Turismo Pack', which is more focused on style, and the 'F595 Pack', which emphasizes performance. The Abarth 695, which is already exclusive from the outset, can also be further individualized with the ingenious “695 Turismo Package” or the “695 Competizione Package”. Finally, for those customers who want an even more complete vehicle tailored to their preferences, eight packages have been created: these combine the most popular options with significant financial savings - and are offered on both models. (Except for the Racing Style Pack, which is exclusive to the Abarth 695.)

One of the most important features of this latter package is certainly the "Spoiler ad Assetto Variabile" - adjustable to 12 positions. With an inclination from 0° to 60°, it ensures a possible increase in aerodynamic load, which leads to greater stability in corners and better responsiveness to different road conditions. In the maximum inclination position (60°), the spoiler increases the aerodynamic load by up to 200 kilograms at a speed of 42 km/h. This sporty feature is reminiscent of the world of racing and thus of the legendary history of the brand with the scorpion in its logo.

The Abarth 595: 121 kW (165 hp) of pure adrenaline

The new 595 is the entry-level model of the Abarth range and offers a range of amenities that ensure the pleasure of driving a Scorpio automobile and its dynamism. The silhouette of the vehicle is emphasized by 16-inch alloy wheels, a chrome dual exhaust, fog lamps and body-colored mirror caps. The interior moldings and door handles are matt chrome-plated. In addition, the gray dashboard insert perfectly matches the black fabric of the seats, the leather of the cockpit, the steering wheel and the gear knob.

The sporty equipment is rounded off by stainless steel footrests - a real racing touch. This harmonises with the flat-bottomed steering wheel, which is designed for more effective, sporty driving. For more comfort, rear parking sensors as well as light and rain sensors are standard on board. The aesthetic features reflect the typical values of style and comfort of an Italian Granturismo. However, the new Abarth 595 is also a balanced expression of sportiness, as evidenced by its lowered sports suspension with FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) on the rear axle and Abarth's special, high-performance braking system. Thanks to perforated and internally ventilated brake discs with a diameter of 284 millimeters (front) and 240 millimeters (rear), it offers maximum safety even at the limit.

The powerful beating heart of the new Abarth 595 is its 121 kW (165 hp) 1.4 T-Jet Euro 6D Final engine, which is ventilated by a Garrett turbocharger with a geometric compression ratio of 9:1. The combination enables a top speed of up to 218 km/h and in fifth gear acceleration from 80 to 120 km/h in just 7,8 seconds. This powertrain has proven itself in the Tatuus monoposti that compete in the Italian and German Formula 4 championships. The Abarth 595 comes with a manual gearbox as standard, but can be ordered with an optional 5-speed sequential automatic gearbox with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. With the manual gearbox, the engine accelerates the Abarth 595 from 7,3 to 100 km/h in 7,4 seconds, with the sequential automatic gearbox it is 595 seconds. In terms of infotainment, the Abarth 7 offers a XNUMX-inch touchscreen with USB, Bluetooth and DAB radio standard, plus compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android AutoTM.*

The 595 Turismo package - the ideal choice for the modern and sporty-elegant driver

The 595 Turismo package is available for both the sedan and the convertible. It combines the best in sportiness and exclusivity in the great tradition of Italian Granturismos. Key design cues come together in this package, including satin chrome mirror caps, 17-inch Granturismo silver-finish alloy wheels, a special 595 Turismo badge on the bodywork, and full-face leather sport seats in either black or racing helmet.

The F595 package - specially designed for motorsport enthusiasts

The buyer of an Abarth 595 can make further customizations with the F595 package. Racing features are bundled here that will captivate everyone who expects the highest levels of performance and sportiness from their cars. One of the most important features is the Record Monza Sovrapposto exhaust system. It is an evolution of the legendary Record Monza system - with a new configuration and four tubes - two per side - stacked vertically. The exhaust valve is controlled by the "scorpion" button on the dashboard. This allows the driver to choose between the gentleman-driver sound and the more traditional, deeper Abarth drone with a simple push of a button. The F595 package is rounded off by the lowered Koni sports suspension with FSD system on the front axle, 17-inch "Formula" alloy wheels with titanium finish, the dashboard inlay in Alcantara and the special "F595" badge, which pays homage to the Formula 4, for which Abarth is the exclusive engine supplier.

The 132 kW (180 hp) Abarth 695 - the top model of the series

Characterized by its unmistakable, high-performance style, the new Abarth 695 is dedicated to those who want to turn every journey into an exhilarating experience. Compared to the equipment already present on the 595 model, the 695 adds some elements that underline its sportiness - such as the Rennsport Sabelt fabric seats with matt gray shells and the special 17-inch "Montecarlo" alloy wheels with black finish. In addition, the famous Record Monza exhaust system is standard. With its unmistakable roar that has accompanied generations of Abarth drivers, it is synonymous with power and dynamism.

The new Abarth 695 is equipped with a powerful 1,4 T jet engine that puts 132 kW (180 hp) and 2.250 Nm of torque at 250 rpm on the road. The top speed is up to 225 km/h, and the vehicle accelerates from 6,7 to 0 km/h in just 100 seconds. Precise sportiness also includes the Koni FSD shock absorbers on both axles and the powerful brake system, with red four-piston Brembo brake calipers and ventilated brake discs with a diameter of 305 millimeters (front) and 240 millimeters (rear). The pilot can therefore accelerate optimally and decelerate effectively, which is essential for an enjoyable, sporty ride.

In addition to its exceptional performance, the new Abarth 695 offers a refined style, which can be seen in many of its matt gray details - from the moldings to the door handles and the mirror caps. The same color choice makes for a unique dashboard insert that has always been an iconic element of the Abarth model. The exclusivity of the materials is also evident in the Alcantara-covered cockpit, in the steering wheel, which combines Alcantara and carbon, and in the aluminum gear knob. The alternation of noble materials and technological design elements creates a unique and exclusive combination in this market segment.

The 695 Turismo package - unmistakable style

For sporty customers and lovers of fine materials, the brand with the scorpion has created the 695 Turismo Pack, which emphasizes the stylistic characteristics of the Abarth 695 in both hatchback and convertible versions. This is immediately apparent in the cockpit, the integral leather seats[1] in two colors – black or racing helmet brown – and the dashboard inlay covered with Alcantara catch the eye. With the 17-inch "Formula" alloy wheels and the "695 Turismo" badge, the whole thing becomes even more exclusive. To enable exceptional open-air driving, a power glass sunroof is included in the package (sedan only).

The 695 Competizione Pack - the pinnacle of Abarth development

The 695 Competizione package is the authentic combination of exclusivity, performance and motorsport spirit. Available for the Abarth 695, it transforms the model into a vehicle for serious drivers. This is evident in its Record Monza Sovrapposto exhaust system with titanium tips, which provides both sound and driving pleasure. The same applies to the racing Sabelt seats with the red decorative stitching and carbon shell. They are made of special materials and fabrics and guarantee even more lateral support. Those who choose the 695 Competizione package can choose between the mechanical limited-slip differential, which improves traction in difficult conditions and rough roads, or the Abarth automated 5-speed gearbox with steering wheel paddles (included in the price). On the body, the "695 Competizione" badge shows the connection with the traditional history of the brand with the scorpion.
