The second generation of the VW Tiguan was officially presented at the IAA last year and series production has also been in full swing since January 4, 2016. As far as tuning is concerned, progress has been rather cautious so far. Apart from Plant 2 Automotive Tiguan from the end of September, we have not yet published any modified versions of the new Wolfsburg SUV on tuningblog.eu. But that will change from now on because ABT Sportsline GmbH from Bavaria is getting serious about the new Tiguan. Various performance enhancements for the two 2.0 TDI versions and the 2.0 TSI petrol engine are now available. The petrol engine is pushed from 132 kW (180 PS) and 320 Nm to 159 kW (216 PS) and 360 Nm using ABT POWER, and the two diesels can also come up with more power. The 2.0 TDI with 110 kW (150 PS) & 340 Nm is increased to a strong 132 kW (180 PS) and 380 Nm and the standard 140 kW (190 PS) & 400 Nm version delivers even more power. On request, the large diesel can now go ahead with a whopping 158 kW (215 PS) and 440 Nm torque, which is definitely noticeable in the acceleration values (Data is not available). ABT enhances the Tiguan visually with new aluminum rims that can be chosen from a large range. From the FR, ER-C, DR to the CR design, everything is available for the Tiguan in sizes from 18 to 21 inches. The SUV is rounded off by ABT Sportsline suspension springs, which allow lowering by 30 millimeters per axle and underline the sporty claim of the aluminum rims. If we get more information about further modifications made to the VW Tiguan, there is of course, as always, an update for this post. - Performance increase ABT POWER for the 2,0 TDI from 110 kW (150 PS) & 340 Nm to 132 kW (180 PS) 380 Nm, engine code: DFGA
- Performance increase ABT Power for the 2,0 TDI with 140 kW (190 PS) & 400 Nm to 158 kW (215 PS) and 440 Nm, engine code: DFHA
- ABT Sportsline suspension springs (lowering by 30 millimeters per axle)
- ABT Sportsline designer wheels (design FR, ER-C, DR, CR, available in 18, 19, 20, 21 inch depending on the rim)
