For decades, Chinese customers have had a particular need for legroom in the rear. That is why there have been long versions not only of the 7-series BMW, but also of the BMW for years 3er or 5. The same applies, of course, to other manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz or Audi. They also have special long versions for China that are not available in Europe. And the BMW product range with derivatives with a long wheelbase is now being expanded with the X5 SUV of the current G05 series. After the X1 as a Li specification, there will soon also be the larger X5 as a "long wheelbase" (LWB).

And the first pictures of an X5 Li have already appeared on the net. You can see the xDrive 40 Li model with the M Sport package and a wheelbase of 3.105 millimeters (122,2 inches). He is with it 130 millimeters (5,1 in) longer than the normal X5. You can recognize the LWB-X5 by the elongated rear doors and the associated larger rear side windows. In terms of overall length, the X5 Li now measures 5.060 mm, which is 138 mm longer than the standard model. The LWB-X5 should come with 21 and 22 inch rims be available and weigh 2.225 kilograms.
