On the 15. December 2017 celebrated BRABUS, manufacturer and processor of exclusive high-performance automobiles, and the Sunseeker London Group, exclusive representative of the renowned yacht builder from the UK, not only the grand opening of their joint "KÖ90" flagship store on the Königsallee 90 in Dusseldorf. The exclusive joint BRABUS ULTIMATE Sunseeker limited edition "ONE OF TEN" city sports car was built on the basis of the current smart fortwo cabrio in a strictly limited edition of only ten.
The ideal tender for a beautiful Sunseeker luxury yacht. Visually, the exclusive two-seater captivates with its elegant metallic blue "Midnight Sapphire" special livery with discrete silver-colored Sunseeker labels. The BRABUS WIDESTAR wide version with forged BRABUS Monoblock Y 18 inch wheels is complemented by sporty, carbon fiber elements. The exclusive BRABUS fine leather interior impresses not only with its masterfully crafted leather in light ivory: The maritime flair of the new special model is characterized by the precise upholstery of the seats in yachting design, embroidered in the center armrest nautical compass and the teak-made coverings for emphasizes the two foot spaces and the trunk.
As with the bodywork, real carbon elements also add sporty accents in the cockpit. The new BRABUS ULTIMATE Sunseeker limited edition "ONE OF TEN" will be sold for a recommended retail price starting at 59.900 Euro in the new joint "KÖ90" flagship store of BRABUS and Sunseeker Germany in Dusseldorf. In addition, the special model will be available at the upcoming "boot 2018" trade fair in Düsseldorf and in all 46 branches of the Sunseeker London Group.
When two luxury brands, such as BRABUS and Sunseeker Germany, decide to build an exclusive vehicle, they naturally have to perfectly combine the sporting genes of a BRABUS supercar with the luxurious maritime ambience of a Sunseeker luxury yacht. Accordingly, the BRABUS ULTIMATE Sunseeker Limited Edition "ONE OF TEN" is featured in a masterful metallic blue "Midnight Sapphire" custom paint finish with discreet highlights in Silver Lake Metallic on the rear and both sides.
While the Sunseeker logo has been placed on the rear and on the two mirror triangles, a nautical compass on each side of the Tridion cell emphasizes the maritime flair of this exclusive special model. Added to this is the exciting BRABUS WIDESTAR body, which creates room for 18 inch king-size wheels with wider front and rear axle spacers. The BRABUS Monoblock Y forged wheels with nine spokes, which terminate in the form of a "Y" to the rim outer wheel, are driven on the front axle in the dimension 7Jx18 with 205 / 35 R 18 high performance tires.
8Jx18 wheels with 235 / 30 R 18 tires at the rear provide optimum transfer of engine power to the tarmac. With just 6,7 kilograms of front wheel weight and 7,1 kilograms for the rear wheel, the BRABUS Monoblock Y wheels are among the world's lightest 18 inch wheels on the market for this model. For the BRABUS ULTIMATE Sunseeker limited edition "ONE OF TEN" special model, these wheels were painted black and the surfaces were polished.
The lowered BRABUS sports suspension, which combines direct, safe and agile handling with the desired ride comfort, has been specially matched to these ultra-flat tires and the widened track. Of course, the exciting WIDESTAR wide version also includes tailor-made BRABUS aerodynamic components such as front spoiler, side skirts and rear diffuser, all of which are produced in original equipment quality from PUR.
Specially for this special model the rear spoiler and the side mirror covers were made in visible carbon. The sporty look also includes an agile engine and the BRABUS ULTIMATE Sunseeker Limited Edition "ONE OF TEN" is equipped with the strongest BRABUS variant of the 898 cc three-cylinder turbo engine. To achieve peak power of 92 kW / 125 horsepower at 5.550 rpm and maximum torque of 200 Nm on 2.000 tours only, the BRABUS engine engineers developed a modified intake system, an even more efficient intercooler and a newly calibrated engine management system.
The BRABUS stainless steel high-performance exhaust system not only optimizes power delivery, but also produces a sporty engine sound with its three chrome-plated tailpipes, which exit at the center. This makes the special model an extremely agile urban sports car, accelerating to 2,9 speed in just 50 seconds. The maximum speed is electronically limited to 175 km / h. The cockpit of the BRABUS ULTIMATE Sunseeker Limited Edition "ONE OF TEN" exudes a maritime ambience of a particularly noble kind: In addition to the interior, which is largely covered with the finest ivory-colored leather, the two teak-covered floor covers immediately catch one's eye, of course high quality velor floor mats are there.
The trunk of the two-seater was also designed with the same noble wood. The top material of the open city sports car was exactly matched to the leather color. The seat and back surfaces of the two seats are stitched to the millimeter in yachting design. Further elaborate details in the interior testify to the noble origin of this special model: this not only includes the Sunseeker logos integrated into the two headrests in blue matching the exterior color, but also a nautical compass embroidered in the center armrest.
In addition, there are sporty accents in the interior as well as on the body due to visible carbon elements for the speedometer, additional instruments and ventilation nozzles. Optionally, these features can also be ordered in the same "Midnight Sapphire" paint as the body, the central part of the steering wheel and the instrument panel. The BRABUS stainless steel pedals as well as the shift knob, shift paddles and hand brake lever made of aluminum bring a touch of racing look to the cockpit.
Other exclusive features of this special model include the tailor-made door sills with BRABUS logo, which are also alternately white or red, such as the stainless steel footrest in the driver's footwell. The Sunseeker logo on the gear knob and the frame of the navigation system puts the icing on the cake together with the Limited Edition badge. The first vehicle of the BRABUS ULTIMATE Sunseeker Limited Edition "ONE OF TEN" was on 15. December 2017 presented at the Grand Opening of the new joint KÖ90 flagship store of BRABUS and Sunseeker.
The other nine vehicles of the limited special series will also be sold from 59.900 Euro in the new branch at Düsseldorf's Königsallee. In addition, the new city sports car will be offered at the forthcoming "boot 2018" trade fair in Düsseldorf and in all 46 branches of the Sunseeker London Group.
