1993 Bugatti EB 112 prototype changed hands!

Bugatti is one of the most legendary automobile brands of our time, and it is always a special highlight when prototypes or individual pieces of the brand are auctioned at renowned auction houses. But many car fans probably don't know that there were also four-door prototypes of the high-end brand that rolled off the assembly line at the old Bugatti plant in Campogalliano, Italy. The model, which unfortunately never got beyond the status of a study, listened to the name EB 112, and was presented to the world public in 1993 at the Geneva Motor Show. In addition to the then Hypercar EB 110 they wanted to bring a second, more everyday model onto the market, which emphasizes the luxurious components much more than the legendary super sports car.

An egg-laying woolly milk sow!

A total of three prototypes of the luxury sedan were made, at least one of which, namely the one with chassis number 39002, has survived to this day. Because this was named near Munich at a luxury car dealer shift gate now sold, and changed hands for an unspecified sum. It should also be said that the vehicle was ordered on April 27, 1993, but was not delivered until 2000. The car was first registered on February 13, 2003.

The speedometer reads 2.423 miles, which is roughly 3.900 kilometers, and based on the fact that the specimen has a mileage speedometer, we assume that the original customer is from the United States. Hardly imaginable today, in times when the Bugatti brand relies on hypercars that try to shine with ever new performance and speed records, the EB 112 was one four-door luxury sedanthat pampers its passengers with the finest travel comfort and generous space. They even thought of the luggage, and donated the elegant, four-door Gran Turismo a sufficiently large trunk with which you can easily transport a golf bag or the latest designer creations from the fashion world.

We're starting to reminisce and secretly wish that Bugatti and Rimac would decide to try again to bring a four-door luxury coupe onto the market. Maybe in the style of the koenigsegg gemera. It is welcome to have a large tailgate and a hybrid drive if it has such captivating and captivating shapes as the EB 112.Various historical models are cited in the timelessly elegant design language of the vehicle, and in stark contrast to the EB 110 of that time, it comes completely without martial elements.

6-liter V12 suction gasoline engine powers the EB 112!

The number of cylinders is almost modest for Bugatti standards. 12 cylinder have to be enough for what is probably the noblest Bugatti of the recent past to get stuck 456 PS to produce. The top speed is with 300 kilometers per hour specified, and the standard sprint from 0 to 100 km / h succeeds in just 4,3 seconds. For the time, these were fabulous values, which still set an exclamation mark in the luxury limousine segment today.
