There is no question that this 1978 Eckler Turbo Design Chevrolet Corvette C3 Targa stands out from the crowd. With exhibited, extremely wide fenders, a bright red paint job and a whole list of other changes, the Vette should attract a lot of attention. And the vehicle is currently even for sale. The lines of the C3, which are already curvy at the factory, have been expanded once again with a Eckler Turbo Design widebody kit including wider fenders, a new bonnet with air openings, new aprons and a fixed rear wing. The result is a Vette in IMSA racing style. And the styling upgrades don't even stop there. Because the entire vehicle is wrapped in a bright red and there were dark red, orange and yellow stripes on the sides. The stripes follow the lines of the C3 and rise and fall along the fenders.

There is a set of side pipes under the doors and distinctive multi-spoke rims with Hankook tires turn in the wheel arches. The new headlights under the large plexiglass covers are also particularly striking. And the interior also has a few unique details. There is, for example, the bright red leather on the seats, the dashboard or the door panels and there were accents in black and chrome. The Targa T-Top is also tinted blue. A 350 cubic inch (5,7 l) V8 L82 engine sits under the hood, which drives the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. Power steering, air conditioning and servo brakes are also included. The GR Auto Gallery is currently selling the C3 for $ 28.900.
