In December 2019, tuner Hennessey performed with the HPE1200 kit for the Corvette C8 a first look at what awaits us as soon as the new mid-engine Vette C8 is delivered to customers by Chevrolet. And this has been the case for a few weeks now and the tuner is already working on a first stage with BiTurbo conversion for the LT2-V8. In addition to installing the two turbochargers, there are extensive changes to the IM and AM engine, such as forged aluminum pistons, forged connecting rods, and one compaction reduction to 10,0: 1, bring a significantly more automatic and Brembo sports brake system. And it will still be some time before the performance kit is available for 1.200 hp and in between there will be a weaker variant with conversion to a compressor.

Probably as an HPE700 or HPE800 kit. The vehicle from the video delivered measured 466 HP and 611 NM torque in series condition and after the conversion with factory software and 5 PSI boost pressure, at least 643 PS & 772 NM torque. This is the at the wheel measured power. The engine power is around 740 HP and 885 NM torque. We’re excited to see when the Hennessey HPE1200 C8 is ready and will be happy with the announced visual changes (Carbon body kit, new aluminum, lowering etc.) will show.
