In June of this year, the American tuner Hennessey has performance still speculatedthat the new Corvette of the C8 series will probably come with an engine control unit that cannot be "cracked". Specifically, there were concerns that the C8 might be equipped with a unique encrypted ECU system (Motor control portion) that makes it impossible for the tuning scene to access the engine software. But the fears have apparently evaporated as Hennessey promises to get out of the first mid-engine Corvette, up to 1.200 PS. And as usual, there should also be weaker performance kits. It starts with a specially adapted Sports exhaust system which already tickles the first additional PS from the LS2 V8.

In addition, it should go by means of compressor kit to the point. Here you already expect a jump on 700 PS and so really powerful then a comprehensive engine conversion of the engine provides two large turbochargers to the side. In combination with many other changes to the hardware (Pistons, connecting rods, cooling etc.) The result should be about 1.200 PS and as well-known HPE1200 kit to be expelled. Of course, there will also be a reinforced dual-clutch transmission, a stronger one Bremsanlage from Brembo and also a racing suspension and a carbon aerodynamics package is already in the planning. Of course not only in combination with an increase in performance, but also individually.

With the HPE1200 Chevrolet Corvette C8, Hennessey would anticipate a planned ZR1 with the high-speed V8 of the C8.R racing car, and also a possible Corvette Zora with +1.000 PS, and would easily outbid both in terms of performance. And if Chevrolet will bring the ZR1 with the planned turbo engine and all-wheel drive, then this will probably not be safe from Hennessey performance either. Maybe as an HPE1500 ... If we receive information on further changes for the new C8 in a timely manner, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
