The hottest iron in the current A3 range is definitely the brand new one Face lift A3 8V RS3 2.5 TFSI. From the factory, a whopping 1,35 bar now pumps heavy 400 PS and 480 Nm from the 2.480 cubic five-cylinder and these ensure that the 4 second mark has already been cracked in various tests during the sprint to 100 km / h. But apparently not enough for the mcchip-dkr team! A few days ago they published two performance enhancements for the RS3 that are tough. Simply by installing new software (Stage 1), the engine now shakes 440 PS & 550 NM torque from its sleeve and runs at 285 km / h even 5 km / h faster than the series.
Stage 2 is even more violent, with a mcpipes downpipe including a 200 cell catalytic converter that even enables 460 PS & 565 NM. Enough pressure to accelerate to 290 km / h and definitely make some M3 or C63 AMG drivers smaller in the rearview mirror. If we get more information about the acceleration values or even a Stage 3 comes on the market, there is of course an update for this report.
