Up to 231 HP: More power for the CUPRA Born!

The CUPRA Born ignites the next level of all-electric sportiness: the latest model from the Spanish Challenger brand can now be ordered in two different versions, each with a maximum output of 170 kW (231 hp). The two versions are available with the familiar 58 kWh battery and with the larger 77 kWh battery. The e-Boost activator on the steering wheel provides a sporty kick at the push of a button. The additional output of 20 kW (27 hp) can also be activated by kickdown with the accelerator pedal.

With the top engines, customers have the choice between maximum performance or maximum range, because: With the lighter 58 kWh battery, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 6,6 seconds, 0,4 seconds less than with the slightly heavier 77 kWh battery. The latter ensures a range according to WLTP of up to 548 kilometers - over 100 kilometers more than the 58 kWh variant. In addition, both versions offer an additional driving profile: in addition to "Range", "Comfort", "Performance" and "Individual", there is the dynamic "CUPRA" mode.

The starting price for the CUPRA Born with 170 kW (231 hp) is 38.600 euros for the version with the 58 kWh battery. The first all-electric CUPRA model with the larger 77 kWh battery starts at a price of 44.300 euros. Both variants have the heated CUPRA super sports multifunction steering wheel in leather with CUPRA Mode Selector and CUPRA e-Boost Activator as standard, as well as the high-sheen 19-inch “TYPHOON Black/Silver” alloy wheels and disc brakes at the front with a diameter of 340 mm.

"With the two new, even more powerful versions of the CUPRA Born, we are underlining the sportiness of our young brand", says Bernhard Bauer, Managing Director of SEAT Deutschland GmbH. “CUPRA stands for passion and performance. Our customers will now be able to experience the fact that these two attributes can also fully develop in connection with sustainable electromobility.”
