Gas Monkey Garage auctioned yesterday on the auction platform appletowing.hibid.com their 1990 Ferrari F40. The background to the auction was a confiscation of the vehicle, which we do not want to go into here. The vehicle was rebuilt years ago from an accident F40 by Richard Rawlings and Aaron Kaufman and equipped with some modern goodies. At that time, the entire Fast N 'Loud setup was covered by the Discovery Channel. The F40 got a TUBI competition sports exhaust system and the factory turbochargers were optimized. In combination with an aluminum flywheel, a Kevlar clutch and other small changes, the F40 managed to jump in performance to a remarkable 550 hp.

So that the performance gets on the road, there were also adjustable F1 dampers from Penske Racing and a set of matt black HRE Performance Wheels alloy wheels in 18 inches with central locking and 245 slippers. And a look through the spokes of the rims also reveals a modified braking system. Here the decision was made to use a system from Brembo with large perforated brake discs.
