It's hard to believe that the new S-Class (W223), on the second generation MRA platform, will be available as AMG, Guard, Maybach and Pullman, but not as an S-Class Coupé and also the super noble one Cabriolet will not be renewed. The next generation of the AMG GT Coupé and the new SL should then take over. In other words, this copy from the auto tuner AC Performance based in Rheinstetten will not have a successor. For us absolutely incomprehensible and sad! Fortunately, the impressive pictures of the AC Performance S500 Convertible let the pain fade a little. For those who like it dark and gloomy, this model of the A217 series should be just the thing. Black, wide, evil! The luxury-class cabriolet with the star has grown enormously in width and at the same time clearly smeared towards the ground.

Those who love it a lot will definitely love the wide body Benz from AC Performance. The most striking features are, of course, the clearly widened wheel arches at the front and rear and the huge, dynamically styled bonnet. Of course, the popular Panamericana radiator grille was not to be missed, and the front and rear aprons are completely new components. And if you're wondering where you've seen the body kit before, it's the so-called PD75SC widebody kit (PD990SC) from the German tuner Prior Design. It consists of a fiberglass-Dura-Flex mixture and gives the luxury liner gills in the fenders, an aggressive diffuser and, if desired, a fixed rear spoiler. The latter is (fortunately) missing on the S500 from AC Performance.

PP-Exclusive “Deep Concave” aluminum

In return, there was a significant reduction in the Airmatic, which can be operated by means of an electrical one that can be operated from the steering wheel lowering module can be controlled. And of course the wheelset is also worth mentioning. PP-Exclusive “Deep Concave” aluminum in the format 10,5 x 21 inches at the front and the appropriate 13 x 21 inches at the rear are installed. The Alus are equipped with Continental Sport Contact slippers in the dimensions 265/30 ZR21 and 325/25 ZR21. And even the performance of the 4.663 cc V8 with factory 455 hp and 700 Nm torque has been optimized. By means of chip tuning, the eight-tender now delivers 510 PS and a maximum of 800 Nm torque. And you can hear them too. Namely by means of our in-house AC performance sports exhaust system with 200-cell sports catalysts. And finally ... Can be done! Goodbye S-Cabriolet ... If we receive timely information about further changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed if yours is simply ours Feed subscribe to.
