Also the Japanese team of Kuhl Racing was present at the 2023 Tokyo Motor Show. Although the fair has been over for a few days, the vehicles presented at the event are only just beginning to appear on the web. And one such vehicle is this heavily modified Toyota RAV4 crossover that Kuhl Racing had at the stand. Strictly speaking, there are even two vehicles. Both carry what the Japanese tuner does VRAVRA MarsKit calls. The kit changes the look of the RAV4 clear. The optical details show different rims, different tires and a different chassis. These things alone make the RAV4 look completely different. But the highlight is of course the complex one bodykit. In front there was a different grille and the hood is also new.

This is joined by an off-road-like bumper with cut-outs on each side for the fog lights. And there were wider ones too fender front. The rear fenders are also wider than the standard ones and Kuhl Racing also installed special panels on the lower part of the doors and on the side skirts. Countless small details such as new mirror caps, a new rear bumper and a large spoiler (roof spoiler) above the rear window with side attachments are also included. But there is more. There are special covers for the taillights and there is also a detail for the chassis mentioned. The mighty appearance makes namely a riser kit possible in combination with 17-inch aluminum rims including Dunlop Grantrek AT5 off-road tires.

But none of that changes the fact that the RAV4 under the sheet metal and despite the 12 new attachments no ladder frame chassis, no low-range gearbox and no real off-road chassis. You can look hardcore with it, but it has nothing to do with a real off-roader. And that's despite the fact that 2.140.560 yen (€15.292) isn't exactly a bargain. Incidentally, the kit is suitable for all versions of the RAV4, but at best the pseudo off-roader should of course be equipped with all-wheel drive ex works.
