The Bavarian specialist for mini campers, Alpin Camper, presents the first complete camper conversion based on the VW ID.Buzz. With a lifting roof from Reimo and retro-style furniture, the expansion combines tradition with modern electromobility. Alpincamper is thus the first company to offer a complete mini camper conversion for the VW electric Bulli. The concept is designed for two people, with the bus having a maximum of two beds and three seats. It already celebrated its premiere at the last one CMT2023.

The first thing that catches the eye when converting Alpin Camper is the lifting roof, which is manufactured by the conversion specialist Reimo. Although there is no space for a bed, it allows for a decent headroom. The overall interior height of 1,84 meters allows the occupants to stand upright and move freely in the living area. The windows on the sides of the tent roof also ensure air circulation and light. Behind the driver's seat there is a longitudinal couch, which is ideal for relaxing or sitting during the day, and opposite is the kitchenette.
At night, the couch can be converted into a sleeping area: Either in a single bed, which still allows a passage to the front, or in a double bed, which is then a maximum of 1,20×1,95 meters in size. The cushions lie on a kind of wooden lattice, so that they are ventilated. Under the seat there are two large storage compartments and a cool box. The kitchenette also has a fold-out work surface, an induction hob and a sink. However, the power supply for the induction hob and all other consumers does not come from the drive battery, but from a 12-volt on-board battery that is installed in the passenger seat.

The removable waste and fresh water tanks are housed in the kitchen block and each have a capacity of 12 liters. A chic LED light strip is also installed around the lifting roof in the interior. All other light sources are indirect and, in combination with the fabric-covered interior walls, create a cozy atmosphere. A solar module on the roof supplies a 100 Ah lithium on-board battery, which supplies all consumers in the camper with energy. This also includes a standard 500-watt electric heater that complements the auxiliary heater on the VW ID.Buzz. A 200 Ah battery and a second solar panel can also be installed as an option. The entire electrical installation is located in the cockpit under the passenger seat.
And there was even a bit of tuning on the ID.Buzz. And in the form of Beadlocks with Off-road tires, a black one Brush Guard and a subtle one foiling (see pictures below). With the innovative conversion, Alpin Camper shows that the VW ID.Buzz is not just an electric everyday companion, but also has the potential to win the hearts of camping enthusiasts. The comfort and technology built into this conversion make it an ideal companion for couples seeking adventure without sacrificing the conveniences of modern life. And with the ability to further personalize the conversion, owners can turn their ID.Buzz into a one-of-a-kind home on wheels.
