Other aesthetic details such as LED indicators at the front and rear and spoked wheels add additional value to the motorcycle. The design of this version is characterized by the choice of a classic and authentic line, where the sporty aspect is emphasized by the absence of a rear fender. Ducati Scrambler Desert Next

The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled is the motorcycle of the Ducati Scrambler family that was developed for all those who want to ride off the beaten track and off the beaten track. The Desert Sleds have their origins in the Southwest of California and on the Baja in Mexico in the 1960s and 1970s. These were street motorcycles with a displacement of more than 500 cc, which managed without superfluous accessories and on which off-road tires, spoked wheels, a modified suspension and an underrun protection were mounted. The name Desert Sled is derived from the underrun protection, which was supposed to protect the motorcycle from rubble and the rough desert roads. Over the years, this type of motorcycle has developed into a separate division in the world of two-wheelers: Until then, there was nothing that even came close to a similar style.

The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled reflects exactly this spirit without neglecting the values of the lifestyle in the “Land of Joy” of Borgo Panigale. Thanks to the special swing arm, the handlebars, the suspension, the spoked wheels with 19-inch front tires and the new lines, it is the ideal motorcycle for everyone who wants to tackle new, adventurous routes off the paved roads. The off-road attitude of the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled is also underlined by the use of an approved protective grille for the headlights, the high mudguards specially developed for this version and of course the underrun protection.

This Ducati Scrambler version is characterized by a special seating position which, thanks to the padded bench, reaches a seat height of 860 mm (a 20 mm lower bench is available as an accessory). An adjustable Kayaba suspension (fork with 46 mm diameter) with 200 mm suspension travel and footrests with removable rubber pads, which come from the off-road sector, are used. The Desert Sled is also equipped with an "Off Road" driving mode, in which the ABS can be deactivated for use off-road. The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled has spoked wheels in sizes 19 "at the front and 17" at the back. They are equipped with Pirelli SCORPION ™ RALLY STR tires in sizes 120/70 R 19 M / C 60V M + S TL at the front and 170/60 R 17 M / C 72V M + S TL at the rear.

The SCORPION ™ RALLY STR combines the best performance of an off-road tire with that of an enduro road tire. The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled is available in the color “Sparking Blue”, which is decorated with red and white details on the tank and the mudguards and is complemented by gold rims and the classic black frame. This color scheme pays homage to the enduro bikes of the 1980s and, together with the seat with anti-slip coating, the 200 mm suspension travel and the headlight grille, underlines the pronounced off-road character of the motorcycle.
