KTM 890 Adventure 2023 - Attack on the middle class segment!

The revised version of the popular model in the middle class segment, which has been revised for 2023 and makes every trip and every route easy and fun to drive thanks to unbeatable performance, weight, agility and specific features, is now even better. With the introduction of the KTM 890 ADVENTURE 2023, the second of six phases of the #DARE2ADV campaign 2023 begins. Here KTM challenges all riders to escape from everyday challenges. If the bike can do it, so can you. Initiatives and events such as THE WORLD ADVENTURE WEEK and the annual KTM ADVENTURE RALLIES are excellent examples of the unique experiences that outstanding motorcycles such as the new KTM 890 ADVENTURE enable and create.

KTM 890 Adventure 2023

The KTM 890 ADVENTURE was developed to master all conditions and distances. The proven, responsive LC8 engine has been retained with its fantastic output of 105 hp and its powerful torque of 100 Nm/6500 rpm. Thanks to ride-by-wire, however, its power is just as safe as it is exciting, controllable as it is limitless, stable as it is spectacular. The low center of gravity and the 20 liter fuel tank contribute enormously to the slim form and ergonomics of the KTM 890 ADVENTURE. Whether seated or standing, the rider always feels the mobility and maneuverability of the bike. The robust rear frame made of steel easily accommodates a passenger and plenty of luggage.

The lower seat height reinforces the positive influence of the tank on ergonomics: Various adjustment options for the seat allow 825 mm, with the lowering kit a further 25 mm can be saved. At the same time, a high ground clearance could be maintained without compromising on comfort and performance. One of the most significant changes for the 2023 model year was made to the headlight mask between the front end and the fuel tank of the bike. It is now integrated into the fairing to increase security and also accommodate larger GPS devices. The KTM 890 ADVENTURE also has wider panels on the tank, and side panels protect the seat from damage and scratches.

WP APEX Suspension 43mm fork

The WP APEX Suspension 43 mm fork has also been further optimized and now offers adjustment options for rebound and compression, which are accessible via the top caps. The APEX shock absorber, which is designed for minimal height and is integrated into the bike, offers new settings especially for riding in difficult terrain. The new 9,3 mp ABS module is supplied with data from the 6-D sensor. In this way, it can always provide full braking power in a wide variety of scenarios. The improved ABS is more synchronized with the driving modes. Therefore, Off-Road ABS (maximum braking control through rear wheel ABS deactivation and reduced front wheel ABS) is automatically activated in OFFROAD or RALLY riding mode.

The KTM 890 ADVENTURE has the riding modes STREET, OFFROAD, RAIN and an optional RALLY riding mode. With the innovative DEMO mode, the rider can extensively test the entire range of rider assistance systems over the first 1.500 km on the bike. Only then does he have to decide whether he wants to buy the functions and keep them permanently. The new, raised windshield offers better wind protection and makes the ride more comfortable. Here KTM was inspired by the KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA. The two-piece seat also provides more comfort with a new, soft foam construction. The slimmer front fender offers excellent aerodynamics and excellent rain protection.

The revised 5-inch TFT display not only attracts attention thanks to the revised hardware (mineral laminated glass for more scratch resistance and anti-glare protection): the redesigned menus and infographics make it even easier to adjust the driving behavior of the KTM 890 ADVENTURE. The intensity of the backlight changes depending on the surrounding conditions. Thanks to better synchronization between the TFT display and the KTMconnect app, it is now even easier and more intuitive to read the Turn-by-Turn+ navigation, listen to music and take calls. With a new function, the driver can now sort his "Top 10" calls according to the most recent calls or the list of favorites - another practical feature of the advanced setup. Thanks to Turn-by-Turn+, the navigation can be adjusted on the go via the bike's TFT menu - without having to stop to look for your smartphone.

The sportier design and the more dynamic look (as with KTM off-road bikes, paint application techniques and in-mold protective films are used for better resistance) go hand in hand with practical innovations, including the new aluminum engine and tank protection. Also new is a combination switch with hazard warning light switch and new PIRELLI SCORPION STR off-road tires, etc. Numerous KTM PowerParts are available for the KTM 2023 ADVENTURE for 890: components with improved protection, luggage racks and units, GPS and smartphone holders, heated grip kits, various benches and headlight sets represent only a small selection of the optional accessories.
