Reduce or switch off AdBlue?

From a technical point of view, it is possible to use AdBlue for cars, commercial vehicles and trucks switch off zu deactivate or consumption too to reduce. This is usually done via a Software, but if necessary also by installing a special one module. Based on the vehicle type, various car workshops & tuners have the opportunity to do this AdBlue system completely switch off or as you wish to reduce. Disadvantages of AdBlue

  • When the AdBlue tank is empty, the engine can no longer be started.

NOTICE: The deactivation of the AdBlue module (AdBlue OFF) is within the scope of the StVZO not permitted. Therefore, such a change should only be made on export vehicles, for tuning purposes outside of the StVZO. or used on private property. The general operating permit for the vehicle expires as a result of the change and insurance cover can also be lost.

Advantages of AdBlue deactivation!

  • No costs for AdBlue refueling.
  • Any additional costs for workshop visits due to high susceptibility to failure are eliminated.
  • If the AdBlue tank is empty, the vehicle starts normally.

Regardless of how much AdBlue is in the tank, a technically high quality AdBlue off module sure that approx. 75% is always shown on the display in the instrument cluster, even if the AdBlue tank is empty. The AdBlue tank no longer needs to be refilled. The AdBlue-Off module is in constant communication with the vehicle's AdBlue computer in order to always transmit the correct data. Determine AdBlue consumption yourself!

In order to be able to comply with the high emissions regulations (to reduce nitrogen oxides), vehicles with the Euro 6 emissions standard (from September 1, 2015) must fill up with urea AdBlue. AdBlue is a mix of urea (about 35%) and distilled water. The principle of the function of the complete system is based on a chemical reaction. Namely from the selective, catalytic reduction. This converts harmful nitrogen oxides into nitrogen and water vapour. The SCR catalytic converter injects the AdBlue and the process is controlled by various SCR sensors. Unfortunately, depending on the manufacturer, this system is extremely sensitive and prone to failure!

Modified engine control software can be made invisible

Depending on the provider, it is even possible that the software adaptation of the CVN (stands for Calibration Verification Number / calibration test number) with a change such as EGR OFF, DPF OFF, NOx OFF, ADBLUE OFF or a map optimization invisible is made. In many cases, the manufacturers, the testing organizations (TÜV, Dekra, KüS, Gtü etc.) use special devices to check the engine control software for various manipulations. If the software has been changed, this is evident from the faulty CVN. With a CVN fix / patch, however, the changes in the software are invisible to the readout systems. To do this, the CVN (calibration test number) of the original software is integrated into the modified software.

Symptoms & Control Units

It usually starts with a message in the instrument cluster "please refill AdBlue - no engine start in 1500 km". The information can no longer be ignored after the third time at the latest, as from then on the engine goes into emergency operation and the vehicle only drives with greatly reduced performance. The vehicle can no longer be started if the AdBlue tank is completely empty or the sensors are defective. Common control devices for deactivation are:

    Buongiorno, ho eliminato il sistema adblue x cristallizzazione dell'iniettore ,sullo specchietto ho messo in parallelo al circuito di sbrinamento un led x vedere le fasi di. Rigenerazione che durano all ' incirca 15 min ogni 700 km( prima ancora della modifica adblue)Dalla modifica dell' eliminazione tramite software dell' adblue ho notato che il led sullo specchietto nn si accende più come prima ,secondo voi ènormal? Ok a macchina dall' eliminazione ha percorso ormai 1600km senza problemi ma a me pare una cosa strana . grace
