We all know GasGas for their excellence in off-road motorcycles, but now the company has decided to bring their tires to the urban tarmac as well. The Moto Urban Cruiser (MUC), launched at Eurobike 2023, takes the boldness and thrill of off-road riding and brings it to city streets. With a powerful electric rear hub motor and a relaxed riding position, the bike is ready to spice up everyday rides.
Gas Gas Moto Urban Cruiser
Inspired by the legendary Californian beach cruiser style bikes, GasGas designed the MUC to combine riding fun and style in a unique way. The tough one red steel frame ensures a relaxed driving position, perfectly complemented by an extra-long seat. No thought of rush or stress when gliding through the streets on the cruiser. And to complete the look, GasGas has added snazzy 20-inch wheels inspired by Supermoto design. What we have here is basically a driving party on two wheels!
Now for the technique: The MUC has a rear wheel hub electric motor with pedal assistance and a maximum motor power of 672 Wh. It is equipped with a rear derailleur and front and rear disc brakes to ensure maximum control and safety. And for the American fans, there's even a special version with a throttle grip and a battery capacity of up to 750 Wh. And the best part? The MUC is one size fits all riders from 160 to 190 cm!

But it's not just the bike that's causing a stir. The legend Troy Lee will perform a live painting session at the GASGAS MOTO party at the GasGas booth (Hall 12.0/A14) at Eurobike 2023 to create a unique MUC. There will also be a number of MOTO demo bikes to try out so you can see the two-wheeled party for yourself. But that's not all GasGas has to offer at Eurobike. This will also be the first time ECC prototype eMTB presented to the public, along with current and new models, including some not yet released non-eMTBs.
While there's no official word on MSRP or when the MUC will be available in the US, there's no doubt that the cool, energetic urban cruiser will win the hearts of urban and outdoor enthusiasts alike. With the urban bikes, GasGas makes a clear statement: Driving pleasure and everyday mobility can go hand in hand. The Moto Urban Cruiser combines the best of both worlds by combining the heart of an off-road bike with the comfort of a city bike.
