Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro: leader in the e-scooter market?

Imagine if there were an e-scooter that not only has a chic look, but also has outstanding technical features. You'd say that sounds too good to be true, right? Yes, hold your breath! Because there really is. Here he is - the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4Pro. Let's start with the unpacking. The scooter comes to you folded up, with the head unscrewed and the neck folded away. Pretty cool stuff considering it's made of matte aluminum and has an impeccable finish. This is not a toy, this is real engineering!

The technical details are just as impressive. The scooter has a large, rubberized footboard that has a good grip even when your feet are wet. The handlebar reaches a height of 124 cm, which makes it particularly attractive for taller people. And the rubber grips with brake lever, bell, switch and display leave nothing to be desired. And the lighting has also been thought of, with an LED lamp at the front and a rear light. The display always shows you the driving mode, the battery status, the speed and even cold warnings. No problem in the dark or in bad weather. The brakes are of excellent quality, with a large disc brake on the rear wheel and an electronic brake assisted by an anti-lock braking system. So don't worry about safety on the road!

But what about the engine? Well, the scooter is equipped with a 350 watt motor that reaches peak powers of up to 700 watts and allows a top speed of 20 km/h. There are three modes to choose from: Go, default and Sport, with maximum speeds of 6, 15 and 20 km/h respectively. The 10 inch (approx. 25 cm) tires are self-healing, which means that they can repair themselves from small punctures or cuts. Super handy, right? And another highlight is the range. Under ideal conditions, the scooter can travel up to 55 km. And when the battery runs out, it only takes 9 hours to fully charge it.

Even more functions? The Xiaomi Mi Home App!

But that is not all! With the Xiaomi Mi Home App you have access to even more information and functions of the scooter. You can see the current riding mode, energy recovery level, battery level, get firmware updates and even set an engine lock alert. Saving the best for last: the price for all that tech goodness and convenience? Depending on the offer, currently only a slim EUR 799. Photo credit: Xiaomi
