At first glance, this works '55 Chevy 3100 Pickup rather inconspicuous. You might think it's a simple, old-fashioned pickup in good condition. But as soon as the driver steps on the gas pedal, the classic turns out to be a monster, with one four-digit HP number makes the rear tires glow. And thanks to a video by AutotopiaLA we can take a look at the monster. The almost 30-minute video shows a lot of background information about the vehicle and its owner and also shows tire shredding actions on the road. The current owner has been driving the car for around 18 years and seems to have a lot of road racing experience. It is said that he has been active in the scene since he was 16 and has collected six dragsters over the years. However, the 1955 Chevy 3100 is his favorite!

The car is driven by a LS V8 with new Camshaft and revised Cylinder heads. Without turbocharging, the engine is said to be incredible 1.000 PS afford. The still built huge Turbonetics 64/66 turbos should bring the V8 to even much more. The performance is estimated at approx.1.200 PS. Under the body, the Chevy 3100 enjoys a Camaro front axle, a Coil spring suspension and Pipe A-Arms. The rest of the frame, however, is original. One is planned in the near future Four-link rear axle with a little more room for the tires. Interestingly, the owner even drives the 1.000 hp Chevy 3100 in everyday life and with one Refrigerator or Sofa on the loading area, if necessary. Have fun with the video!
