Restomod 1961 Chevrolet Impala: Swansong as a homage!

In the world of classic cars there are stories that fascinate and vehicles that are more than just scrap metal. This 1961 Chevrolet Impala, also known as Swansong, tells such a story. It stands as a symbol for all forgotten Impalas that were once abandoned. Over 16,8 million Impalas were manufactured over more than 60 years of construction, and many of them ended up abandoned in barns or fields. But the Swansong shows what impressive potential the vehicles have. The 1961 Impala is part of the third generation, which is based on the GM B platform based and is known for its impressive design. With a wide range of engines including the W Series 409ci, the generation set new standards. The one presented here Swansong has its roots in California and was created by the team of Hot Rods & Custom Stuff brought back to life.

The Impala's rims, manufactured by Bulkhead, vary in size between 18 inches at the front and 20 inches at the back and they are with Pirelli tires based. Incidentally, the Swansong is not powered by the original engine, but by a specially adapted one LS3-V8. No information is known about performance, but visually it fits in perfectly with the rest.
