At the end of 2017, ABT Sportsline has the RS3 with 400 PS & 480 NM VW EA855evo five-cylinder pushed to huge 500 PS & 570 NM - we reported. At that time it was still a vehicle without a particle filter for gasoline engines (OPF for short) and with NEDC approval. Since the new gasoline particle filter and the WLTP approval are now mandatory, the result changes. The performance of the new ABT RS3 with high-tech control unit ABT Engine Control (AEC) type ABT Power S "sinks“To 470 PS and 540 NM torque. As a result, the acceleration to 100 km / h now takes 3,8 seconds (before 3,7) and the top speed drops from 300 km / h to 285.
Rims, suspension and interior parts
The rest, however, remains unchanged for the model 2019. There is also the small aerodynamic package, different rims up to a maximum of 20 inches and also the ABT silencer system with black chromed stainless steel tailpipe trims is still available. There is an optional lowering by means of sports springs, changes for the interior and on request an upgrade of the brake on brake discs in the dimensions 380 x 35 mm.
