Confirmed - 2020 Dodge RAM REBEL TRX with 6,2-liter V8

Years after that Dodge Ram Rebel TRX Concept with 575PS Now seems the TRX based on the brand new 2019er Ram certainty. For fans of the American pickup definitely good news. And Dodge does not even hang it on the big bell. Only a small subordinate clause in the last press release in the FCA US Media Center gives the information that Ram Trucks will be producing the Ram TRX as an independent brand on the occasion of the 10 anniversary. The concept car was released in 2016 and since then the rumor mill has been bubbling steadily. The clearly sharpened version of the off-road capable Rebel model was hotly debated in numerous forums and again and again there were new theories for series production.

And of course, the focus was always on the V8 engine under the bonnet. The supercharged 6,2-liter V8 from the Dodge Hellcat top models had in the study - with 575 PS - made a lot of steam. However, compared to the 717, 808 or even 852 PS in the Hellcat or Hellcat Demon, this is by no means the maximum yield of the engine. For the Ford Raptor with a good 450 hp, that was easily enough. And the above-average off-road mobility of the TRX was also superior to the Raptor. The coarse off-road tires on Bedlock rims, the new chassis with a lift system and thus huge ground clearance and long suspension travel, the robust aprons and the flared fenders all around were perfectly made for the terrain.

The fact that the finished production model will naturally differ formally and technically from the study should be clear. Quite so radical is the series then not shoot on the streets. The Hellcat engine we wish at least 700 PS and the rest of the optics may be quite similarly powerful.
