Apparently there will soon be a few updates for the VW Golf Gti and the Golf R as a 2023 model. New ones are probably installed in the GTI Performance LED headlights and LED fog lights with active curve technology. And there could also be a few minor visual changes, but there are currently no concrete details or photos. Our pictures shown here are photos of a Golf R des Model year 2022 from the tuner Oettinger. More information will probably follow at a later date. Other GTI rumors for the 2023 model year also speak of an anniversary vehicle as "40th Anniversary Edition model“ (celebrating 40 years of GTI in America).

Here, too, there are no official photos or details of the anniversary edition so far. For the Golf R 2023 one also speaks of "small visual changes“ as well as the reference to a 20th Anniversary Edition for the 20th anniversary of R in the USA. Here, too, no further details or photos are known at the moment. If we get more key data about the changes, there will of course be an update for this report.
