The Suzuki Jimny is a cult car that has been winning the hearts of off-road vehicle fans for over 50 years. With its compact design, sturdy ladder frame and four-wheel drive with reduction gear, it is ready for any adventure. Now Suzuki has launched a new variant of the Jimny on the Malaysian market, which continues the tradition of the legendary SJ Jimny: the Rhino Edition. The Rhino Edition is limited to just 30 pieces and costs 174.900 ringgit (approx. 37.800 EUR). It is characterized by a number of exclusive design elements that give it a special character. The body is painted in Pure Pearl White with red, gray and black decals on the hood and sides that read "Real Offroader" and a rhino motif. The rhino is a nod to the logo used on the second generation SJ Jimny, introduced more than four decades ago.

The Rhino Edition also features a heritage grille with no vertical braces, chrome side mirrors, red mudflaps with "Jimny" script, a rhino-branded tailgate/spare tire cover, front and rear differential guards and door wind deflectors. However, the technical data are identical to the normal Jimny: A 1,5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 102 PS & 130 Nm torque, coupled to a manual 5-speed gearbox with a separate low-range mode and the AllGrip Pro system , is installed. The Rhino Edition was unveiled by Naza Eastern Motors, the official Suzuki dealer in Malaysia, as part of a Jimny Lifestyle Drive attended by over 30 Jimny owners.
The ride started at Suzuki Cars Petaling Jaya Showroom and ended at Malaysia 4WD Training & Experience Center in Semenyih where an off-road demonstration and training took place. For current Jimny owners, Naza Eastern Motors also has a Jimny Rhino Kit available for 15.000 ringgit (approx. 3.200 EUR) and includes the same upgrades as the edition. This allows Jimny fans to personalize their existing vehicle according to their wishes. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
