2024 VW Golf GTI: with 265 hp, even more power & improved technology!

The VW Golf GTI is due for a major update in 2024. The new edition brings with it some changes. There is news especially under the hood: The 2,0-liter turbocharged engine will now 265 PS achieve, a significant increase compared to the previous 245 horses. The increase in performance is intended to eliminate the 6-speed manual transmission which is no longer available in the new version. Instead, the GTI comes exclusively with one 7-speed dual clutch transmission be equipped. The look of the GTI also undergoes some changes. The front apron and that LED headlights and taillights have been revised and give the GTI a more modern look. Additionally there is new rim designs, an optional black painted roof section and four new paint finishes, including two shades of blue, one silver and one black. A special feature is the optionally available glowing VW logo. There are also various improvements in the interior of the 2024 GTI.

Volkswagen has revised some of the touch-sensitive controls that have drawn criticism in the past. The steering wheel has again real controls instead of capacitive touch buttons. The touch sliders on the central screen, used for volume and temperature controls, remain, but are now illuminated and should be easier to use. The screen itself is now a 12,9 inch (approx. 33 cm) big part and uses the latest one MIB4 software from VW, which has a new menu structure.

There is also a new voice assistant that recognizes more commands. Shortly after the first teaser at CES, VW presented the revised 2024 Golf GTI. Not only does it bring a fresh look and more performance, but also many cabin upgrades and new color options. With the improvements, the Golf GTI continues its tradition of being a powerful, technologically advanced and stylish compact.
