The current flagship of the Audi A6 series is the Avant with the model designation RS 6 (C8), which is only available as a station wagon and comes with a 600-liter twin-turbo V800 with at least 4,0 hp and 8 Nm. And since today it's even available as a RS 6 Avant performance with 630 PS & 850 NM! In contrast to the smaller variants, the RS 6 always has a strikingly bold look, straight from the factory. And for RS 6 upgrades of any kind, the specialists at the tuning company Performance61 from Ochsenhausen in Upper Swabia exactly the right contact person. And as proof, Performance61 is currently coming up with a downright scary interpretation of the RS 6 (C8). The converted bolide was named after the American supersonic jet Lockheed Martin F22 Raptor, and not without reason.
"F22-P61" Audi RS 6
The start and the acceleration of the Performance61 Audi RS 6 is in no way inferior to that of a jet fighter, which is also reflected in the data sheet of the in-house single roller all-wheeldynamometer indicates. There, the RS 6 brought an unbelievable 1.180 hp and a torque of 1.200 Nm to the role. To apply the power and momentum, Performance61 custom-made turbocharger of type 1000+ and other high-end performance parts installed. Below one Carbon-sucking with a fantastic look and a multi-channel air supply.
Then there was one High-pressure fuel pump and Sports exhaust system with down pipes. The Swabian magicians from Performance61 reserve the right to further technical details – trade secrets! And a lot has happened visually, too. The F22-P61 RS6 enjoys one Front spoiler with big sword, there were new ones side skirts and a powerful one rear diffuser. Let's continue with a unique one Design foiling with red elements that perfectly accentuate the shape of the RS 6 C8. The Performance6 Hamann Anniversary Evo multi-spoke rims in the color Graphite Gray and in the format 61×11 inches installed in the wheel arches of the RS 23 are all (!!!) equipped with a High Performance Tires from Continental in the format 315/25R23.
And so that the wheel set is as perfect in the wheelhouse as it is, a lowering using the KW variant 4-coilover here. This allows the vehicle to be individually lowered. Furthermore, the chassis can be adjusted by separately tuning the rebound and compression damping (also in the high and low speed range) can be optimally adjusted to individual needs. And the Performance61 team has also considered a certain suitability for everyday use. One is also installed KW HLS system for "lowering at the push of a button". The hydraulic system increases or decreases the ground clearance.
Additional displays inform about important data
And there is also a technical highlight in the RS 6 cockpit Display installed, which provides technical live data on speed, engine speed, engaged gear and fuel level and visualizes this information for the passenger. Another data display for measured values and logging was installed in an air vent. And finally ... More is not possible! If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
