Schubert Motorsport BMW M4 G82 DTM Champion Edition!

During the DTM season opener in Oschersleben, Schubert Motorsport surprised by unveiling a brand new one BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition, which the winning vehicle of 2022 transfers to the road. The current M4 Competition (G82) with 510 hp serves as the basis for the strictly limited special series, of which only 9 will be produced. Sheldon van der Linde's championship vehicle becomes an eye-catcher with a unique Rosso Corsa paintwork, yellow and black accents and the starting number 31. In addition to the red and yellow shell, a carbon front splitter, aero flicks in front of the front wheels and carbon tailpipe trims from the M Performance program also contribute to the motorsport ambience. Black lettering on the hood also indicates the DTM Edition, while the Schubert Motorsport lettering on the rear emphasizes the exclusive refinement. The South African flag and the abbreviation SVL for Sheldon van der Linde should of course not be missing on the side windows, just like on the big DTM model.

The start number 31 with a white background on the gills of the front fender and the rims painted in matt orbit gray (styling 826 M) give the exterior an unmistakably individual touch. The interior of the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition by Schubert Motorsport is also flooded with references to its uniqueness: the carbon interior trim strips not only have matching lettering, but also Sheldon van der Linde's signature. A numbered plaque in front of the selector lever for the eight-speed automatic commemorates the Hockenheimring, where the South African won the championship with two podium finishes on the final weekend.

Both the door sills and the embroidered headrests of the M carbon bucket seats point to the 2022 DTM victory when you get in. And another highlight is the Alcantara-coated steering wheel, which comes directly from the M4 CSL. However, it is already known that only eight of a total of nine vehicles will be sold: one M4 will remain with team boss Torsten Schubert and another will be driven by Sheldon van der Linde in the future. It is also interesting that the M4 DTM Champion Edition, which was realized with the support of BMW Individual Manufaktur, is only sold exclusively through Schubert Motorsport and not through the normal sales channels of M GmbH.

available exclusively from Schubert Motorsport

If you would like to purchase one of the 7 vehicles for sale, you should make a note of June 5, 2023. A reservation form will be posted on the Schubert Motors website the following Monday for prospective buyers to register. The final price remains unknown until then, but one thing is certain: the extensively refined DTM Edition will certainly significantly exceed the standard price of an M4 Competition, which is currently €100.400. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to. Have fun watching the pictures and stay true to us!
