This Nissan Skyline GT-R Safari is a unique piece that captures the hearts of Rally- and JDM fans guaranteed to make you beat faster. The car was owned by the YouTuber Adam LZ put on its feet and is a dream Off-road machine with impressive 500 PS. The basis for the project was a R32 GT-R without engine, the Adam for around 10.000 dollars bought. The transformation then began in a workshop in Connecticut: it became a modified one RB26 in-line six-cylinder installed from another R32 project. This is equipped with a Gen 2 turbocharger, a new one Intercooler and an adapted one Controller, which makes the GT-R impressive 500 PS performance “on the wheels”.

And a key feature of the conversion is of course that customized Long-travel suspension, which gives the GT-R a ground clearance of about 27 cm - almost twice as much as the series. Next are the sporty ones 17-inch Rays rims with Nitto Nomad Grappler tires (215/65R17) and WRX mud flaps at the rear increase off-road mobility. And a special feature is the built-in one all wheel drive, which even if necessary can be converted to rear-wheel drive. From a visual point of view, the front section is adorned with a custom-made, powder-coated finish Off-road bumper at 6 inches (about 15 cm) tall LED fog lights and there is also a powder-coated one on the roof Nismo luggage rack at 4 inches (about 10 cm) tall Fog lights (8 pieces). Since the R32 did not have a roof rack ex works, the team had to cut directly into the roof for assembly.

The vehicle also has a cool olive green Foil stickered, and there is a complete one in the interior Roll cage, custom-made Sports Seats and Camouflage pattern four-point harnesses. The entire renovation work took less than three weeks and was captured in a series of videos Adam LZ's YouTube channel documented in detail. Incidentally, future plans for the GT-R talk about even more suspension travel, better brakes and possibly a snorkel for deeper water crossings. We think the GT-R can already drive through pretty deep waters.
